The Northern Health Region had yet to award the tender for the new Flin Flon ER on Monday, adding that the provincial election campaign will have no bearing on the process.
“We are continuing to work on the process as we move towards awarding [the tender],” Glenn Hildebrand, communications consultant for the NHR, told The Reminder. “I can’t give you a specific timeframe at this point but we continue to make forward progress.”
Hildebrand added that “there will be no impact” due to the election being called. The writ was dropped on March 16, with voters heading to the polls on April 19.
