Nine men and women hope to fill five vacant spots on the Creighton School Division Board of Trustees. Voters will choose a new board on October 22 in conjunction with the election for Creighton Town Council. Seeking re-election to the board are incumbents Tracy Andrusiak, Ray Biberdorf, Terry Brown, Heather Jacobson and Robert LeSage. Also running are Linda Chretien, Janet Clark, Pat Derbowka and Gloria Frame. The Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation representative will be incumbent Bernadette Hillier, who will fill the position by acclamation. The school board and municipal elections will be held on October 22 with two polls set up at the Creighton Community Hall. Bruce Fidler will take over as mayor of the community through acclamation, as he was the only candidate running for the position.
