Easter came a little early for a group of excited youngsters gathered at Willowvale Park early Tuesday evening. About 25 children from the Kiddie Korner Day Care took part in an Easter egg hunt, with five of the hidden plastic eggs containing a note earning its finder a special prize pack. Wearing rubber boots and clutching little baskets, the children anxiously scattered throughout the park, carefully eyeing the ground for the colourful eggs. They looked behind trees, waded in puddles, and asked their friends for tips on possible hiding spots. Scooping up the winning eggs were Nicholas Andres, Kolton Brazeau, Skylar Daneliuk, Symone Daneliuk, and Jayden Rowe. Each received a prize pack including books, chocolates, toys, and window decorations, among other goodies. All in all, it was a good warmup for each of the participants, who will be scouring their living rooms this Sunday in search of treats left behind by the Easter Bunny.
