Manitobans in the process of moving, or who are planning a move within the province, have a new website that lets them notify multiple organizations of an address change with the click of a mouse. The provincial government has launched www.manitobaaddresschange.ca to make moves less arduous. Manitobans can access the site if they are moving to another residence within the province or if they are moving into the province. The site is safe, secure and protects personal information supplied to the various organizations. Users simply select the organizations they would like to notify of an address change and fill out the appropriate information required for each organization. They then submit the form and it is secured for access by each organization to process. Organizations currently participating in the site are Manitoba Hydro, Manitoba Health, Shaw Communications and the City of Winnipeg. The site is a pilot project, with plans to expand to include additional Crown corporations, other municipal governments and non-government entities in the future. _ Compiled from a Government of Manitoba news release
