A 20-year-old man was arrested in Winnipeg on Wednesday for allegedly transporting drugs into the northern First Nations community of Gods Lake Narrows. RCMP investigators seized roughly 41 grams of cocaine and 3 ounces of marijuana. The accused faces charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine) and possession for the purpose of trafficking (marijuana). The accused, who is from Gods Lake Narrows, has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Winnipeg Provincial Court on July 25. Police continue to investigate. No further information is available at this time.
