Submitted by Habitat 53 Chapter The Habitat 53 Chapter of Habitat for Humanity will be opening a temporary Restore in Flin Flon next month. Through a Restore, Habitat accepts donations of building material, appliances, office furniture, cupboards and other gently used, unwanted or discontinued items that they will sell at reasonable prices to raise money to build a home to sell to a low-income family. Some items that cannot be accepted include paint or toxic materials, used carpets or mattresses, computers, televisions or small appliances. Check Flinflononline.com for a list of what is acceptable. Local Chapter Chair Ted Elliott says the Restore will open at the former armoury site. He says they plan to be open Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. from Sept. 15 until the end of October.
