A dog involved in an attack on a Manitoba Hydro meter reader on June 25 has been euthanized.

The decision came from the dog’s owners after the Centennial Crescent incident sent the 66-year-old woman to the hospital in Winnipeg with serious injuries.

Glenna Daschuk with the City of Flin Flon says the decision to have the animal put down was that of the owners.

“They owners were very cooperative,” said Daschuk. “They did what they felt was necessary.”

Because of the cooperation received, Daschuk says there were no hearings that needed to be attended or review of animal control by-laws.
