Has Bakers Narrows Day gone to the dogs? Yes, this year at least! Copper City Canines, your local dog club, has made sure of that. Along with the usual events like the Canoe Challenge, Queen Mermaid debut, Little Minnows contest, etc., there will be something new. You can now also watch a demonstration of the sport of dog agility and obedience! Be near the stage at 2 p.m. to enjoy watching this precision group of talented canine athletes strut their stuff, while their human partners direct their movements from afar. Okay, that's the ideal picture. In actual fact the dog/people teams struggle on, sometimes on track, sometimes not, but always always having fun! The dog club is always on the lookout for new members so talk to one of the participants after the demonstration to see how you can join the fun! See you on Sunday!
