Surveying at a diamond property northwest of Flin Flon is showing promise, according to an exploration company that co-owns the prospect.
Vancouver-based Alto Ventures this week announced the completion of a high-resolution airborne magnetic survey flown over the GEFA diamond property.
Preliminary interpretation has identified at least 16 magnetic targets clustered in two main areas on the property, Alto said.
Rick Mazur, CEO of Alto, said this “detection of priority targets” is “very encouraging.”
“Follow-up work will include further till sampling and ground geophysical surveys this summer to get to the drill stage,” he added.
GEFA is located about 90 kilometres northwest of Flin Flon and about 40 km southwest of Pelican Narrows.
GEFA is adjacent to the promising Pikoo diamond discovery owned by North Arrow Minerals, a fact Alto has used to tout the property.
Alto is earning a 60 per cent interest in the GEFA claims by making staged payments to the vendors totalling $60,000 over two years and completing $750,000 in exploration work over 30 months.
To date Alto has paid $25,000 in cash and spent some $400,000 on exploration.
