A&W isn't confirming that a deal is done for a new Flin Flon restaurant, but workers at the Flintoba Shopping Centre say that's exactly what they're building. Members of the Kelsey Construction crew said yesterday that the building going up near the mall site entrance is indeed slated to become a small A&W outlet. But A&W spokesman Fred Trembath said that while the company has been in talks with the site developer, it "doesn't have a completed deal." He said he doesn't know why construction would have already begun though acknowledged it's possible a developer might begin building in anticipation of a deal being struck. The crew has not worked on the building for about two weeks after being told to halt construction. The reason behind that move could not be confirmed. Meanwhile nearby, work continues as planned on the Mark's Work Wearhouse outlet set to open later this year. Crews are also working on the foundation for a third building, located on the east side of the Flintoba site, near the end of the Wal-Mart parking lot, which will house several different tenants. The Reminder has confirmed that at least one Main St. business plans to move into the two-storey building, but the owners do not wish to have the name published at this time.
