There were no apparent injuries last week when the driver of a pickup truck veered into dense bush off of the Sherridon road. A witness said the truck was spotted last Friday morning, July 12, in thick bush about two kilometres down the gravel road from Highway 10. The witness noticed the truck at about 10 a.m. and said the accident had apparently just happened. By Monday afternoon, however, no report of the accident had been made to the RCMP. 'It is entirely possible that the vehicle went off the road and no one was injured, and police were not contacted,' Cpl. Miles Hiebert, a Manitoba spokesperson for the Mounties, told The Reminder. A photo of the accident scene supplied to The Reminder showed a white pickup truck with a crumpled rear tool box and a badly dented roof. Another photo showed what look to be fresh tire tracks swerving off the main roadway and into the ditch. The truck came to a resting place visible from the road.
