Curl Manitoba elects first northern president

The governing body for curling in Manitoba has elected its first president from northern Manitoba. Sam Antila of Thompson assumed the title with Curl Manitoba last month.

Until now, Flin Flon’s James Conner, who was second vice-president of the Manitoba Curling Association (MCA) in 1959-60, and Trevor Morgan of The Pas, who held the same position in 1954-55, had been the most senior provincial curling officials from the North.
