Cash and jewelry were recently snatched from a Green Street residence in the latest home burglary in Flin Flon. Shortly before midnight last Thursday, December 18, Flin Flon RCMP received a report of the break, enter and theft. One or more thieves ransacked the Green Street home, making off with "a considerable amount" of American money as well as some jewelry, police said. The case is under investigation and police hope the public can provide some pertinent information. Flin Flon RCMP are also looking for whomever is responsible for recent vandalism to a neon-lettered advertising sign on Timber Lane. Police said a sign advertising Star Auto Body Shop has been vandalized twice in the last week, causing approximately $800 in damages. The sign stood along the side of the road near the entrance to Timber Lane, off the Perimeter Highway. Police encourage anyone with information on either of these unsolved crimes to contact them at 687-7488 or Manitoba Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS). Callers to Crime Stoppers remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.12/22/2003
