After more than five years with the Creighton RCMP, Sgt. Mark Svaren is moving on.
Svaren informed town council last month that transfers for himself and one constable are expected in early 2016.
Neither position is expected to be vacant for a significant length of time, as the RCMP was working on finding replacements, Svaren wrote in his regular report to council.
Ald. Don Aasen commended Svaren, who joined the detachment in the fall of 2010.
“I think he’s done a good job,” said Aasen. “You certainly can’t please all of the people all of the time, but I think he’s done well for us and well for the town.”
