The Flin Flon Fire Dept. responded to three calls in September, the latest fire chief’s report notes:
Saturday, Sept. 5, 11:30 am: A call from 911 stated there was smoke inside a Tweedsmuir Street residence. Upon arrival, firefighters determined the cause of the smoke was from overheated / smouldering furnace wiring. The on-call officer and seven firefighters responded.
Sunday, Sept. 13, 5:07 pm: A call from 911 stated there was a house fire on Creighton Street. Upon arrival, firefighters found a fully involved structure they quickly contained. The on-call officer and 22 firefighters responded.
Thursday, Sept. 24, 11:30 am: A call from 911 stated fire alarms had activated inside Many Faces Education Centre. Upon arrival, firefighters determined the alarm to be false. The fire chief and six firefighters responded.
