Kelly Carrington Staff Writer Creighton Council gave second and third readings to By-law 1-2012 Wednesday night _ a bylaw to provide for the licensing, regulating and governing of person engaged in business within the Town of Creighton. Council agreed unanimously with three readings. Along with the readings of the bylaw, it was noted that the Bylaws, Resol-utions, Policy & Fiscal Services & Healthy Finance Committee will continue to contribute $1,000 for a scholarship at Creighton Community School. A motion was made on a recommendation from Alderman Don Aasen that changes the start dates for rental agreements in the Creighton Recreation Building from March 1 to April 1. The Environmental, Public Healthy & Environmental Development Committee recommended an approval to increase the Community Recycling Program subsidy by five per cent _ per capital funding _ to assist in covering the program costs. Council also carried the motion to amen the Official Community Plan 9-2011 and the Zoning Bylaw 8-2011 to include two new lots. A public hearing will be held to discuss the rezoning changes. Highlights Council received four correspondents: A reply from SaskTel on the concerns with high speed internet and cellular services in the Creighton area A request for a small variance of property in Creighton Information regarding the SAMA meeting April 17 in Saskatoon Request from the United Steelworkers to speak or present a wreath on the Day of Mourning, April 28 Council received the Waterworks Compliance Inspection, March 13, 2012, by Saskatchewan Environment. It was adopted as read as Town Administrator Paula Muench said the inspection 'was very good.'
