A single-vehicle collision near Snow Lake has claimed the life of a Flin Flon man.

This past Saturday, July 26, just after 11 a.m., Snow Lake RCMP responded to a report of an accident on Highway 392, at the Snow Creek bridge.

Two Flin Flon men were found inside the vehicle. One, a 28-year-old, was deceased. The other, the 26-year-old driver, was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The vehicle was found on the east side of the highway below the bridge.

Police said their initial investigation showed the vehicle was travelling southbound on Highway 392 when the single-vehicle collision occurred. The exact time of the accident is still being determined.

As of press time yesterday, RCMP had not determined if alcohol was a factor.

It appears upon initial investigation that the driver was wearing a seatbelt and the deceased was not, police said.

RCMP are not releasing the name of the deceased.

A RCMP forensic collision reconstructionist is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
