The Cranberry Community Cadet Corps has changed its weekly meeting to every Wednesday from 6:30 until 8:00 p.m. at the FCI gym. All youth between the ages of 12 and 18 and attending school on a full-time basis are invited to attend as well as their parents or guardians. The Cranberry C.C.C. is an initiative between the Cranberry Portage RCMP, FCI, the LUD of Cranberry Portage and volunteers from the community to provide youth with knowledge and strength to overcome obstacles. During weekly parades the Cadets will be instructed in drill, firearms safety, first aid, cultural awareness and sports plus a variety of other topics. All interested parties are welcome to attend as well, as this session is open to all in the community to participate and learn more about us. Please feel free to contact Vivian Mckenzie at 472-9234 or 472-3528 or Cst. Chamberlain at the Cranberry RCMP detachment at 472-3612. Also you can contact Cindy Smadella at 472-2446 or you can visit us on the web at www.communitycadetcorp.com.
