With the Christmas season fast approaching, residents are reminded that it is better to give than to receive. Leona Kemp, owner of Northern Rainbow's End, will put that truism to use this Sunday at the Northern Rainbow's End Charity Craft Sale to be held at the Creighton Bingo Palace. All proceeds will go to charitable initiatives in the local area; everything from the Elks Christmas Cheer Fund to purchasing gifts for seniors who are alone during the holidays. "We're just pleased that we can help people in need, but if we can put a smile on a senior's face, that means a lot to us, too," said Kemp. Organizers are asking shoppers who stop by the sale to be generous as well by bringing used winter coats, blankets and non-perishable food items for the needy. Everyone who makes a donation will be entered into a draw for a prize. There will also be other door prizes. The sale itself promises to be a crafter's paradise, with over 44 booths booked. The Northern Rainbow's End Charity Craft Sale will run this Sunday, November 30, at the Creighton Bingo Palace from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
