COVID-19 finally looks like it's taken a day off in the prairie provinces. Between Manitoba and Saskatchewan, only one new case of the disease was reported Sunday.

That case was reported in an unidentified community in far north Saskatchewan. The new case brings the province up to 104 total active cases and 61 active cases in northern communities, compared to between 11 and 15 active cases in Manitoba.

While no full update on COVID-19 was provided by the Manitoba government Sunday, a tweet from the official verified provincial government Twitter account stated that Manitoba had no new cases. The next Manitoba government media briefing on COVID-19 will take place June 29.

Manitoba's total number of cases since the pandemic began is currently 322, compared to 778 in Saskatchewan. The far north region of Saskatchewan has reported 323 total cases, more than the entire province of Manitoba. Creighton, Denare Beach, Pelican Narrows, Sandy Bay, Deschambault Lake and other communities are included in the far north region, but no reported cases have been announced from any communities in Saskatchewan's northeast side.
