Disgraced comedian Bill Cosby was once in Flin Flon, an aboriginal artist raised in the community told a BC newspaper.
In an online article published Dec. 30, Angelique Levac told the Prince George Citizen that Cosby personally encountered her art while in Flin Flon, where she grew up.
The article mentioned no time frame for when the visit occurred, nor did it indicate whether Cosby’s trip was of a public nature.
The Reminder contacted several long-time Flin Flon area residents, none of whom had ever heard of Cosby being in the community.
The Reminder also left messages with Levac, who now lives in BC, seeking further comment. She had not returned calls as of press time.
The Citizen article detailed Levac’s longtime friendship with Cosby, who was recently charged with drugging and sexually assaulting an Ontario woman at his home 12 years ago.
Levac said she does not dismiss the allegations against Cosby, 78, but added that he never mistreated her.
