A teenager murdered on the northern Manitoba reserve of God's Lake earlier this year had a Cranberry Portage connection. Leah Anderson, 15, had been attending high school at Frontier Collegiate, as school in God's Lake only goes up to Grade 9. APTN reports Anderson was back home for Christmas break when she vanished on her way to go skating at the local arena. That was on January 4, 2013. Two days later, the same day she was to fly back to Cranberry Portage, her body was discovered, the network reports. Her murder remains unsolved.
