Rod Gourlay called Wednesday morning and asked if an update could be put in the paper, concerning his daughter who was involved in the recent motor vehicle accident. He said: "Here is an update on Kristen Gourlay as of Wednesday morning, October 1. Kristen's overall pain is minimal. The main concerns are her spleen, kidney and her broken ribs. Kristen is now able to walk with a walker. We are also able to take her for short walks in a wheelchair. "Kristen tires easily but is working hard, every day, to build her strength. She has a broken right wrist, some swelling and lots of bruising. "Kristen, Rod and Jan would like to thank everyone, friends, family and the community for phone calls, cards and gifts. Most of all, a big thank you to Hapnot and Creighton schools, the staff and students for all their love and support at this time."
