The Flin Flon Community Choir held its annual Christmas concert, "T'was in the Moon of Wintertime" on Saturday, December 4 and Sunday, December 5. The production manager was Katy Anderson, with Crystal Kolt the choir director and Mark Kolt the accompanist. The concert was very well received! Comments were expressed like: "It was just the right kind of music", "It sure got me in the spirit", "it was just the right length, not too drawn out", and, "I could have listened for hours!" The first half of the concert was sacred music with the Nativity scene and real live people taking the parts of Mary (Kayla Knight), Joseph (Matthew Maslanka), four shepherds (Cody Mason, Ben Leclerc, Kallum Spencer and Jillian Kolt) and three kings (Armand LeClerc, David Vandergucht and Chris Gamble), and the angels were Trish Olsen and Amber Kubat. Well done, staying perfectly still like that in those lights is not easy! The narrator for both parts of the show was Buzz Trevor, who did a superb job! The second half of the show was the "hussell and bussell" of the Christmas season and lots of "fun" carols including Santa Claus is Coming to Town, when right on cue he (John Taylor) arrived. He and Mrs. Claus (Kaylynne Neubuhr) had a lot of fun with their "naughty and nice" lists! They singled out many people on stage and in the audience. The conclusion of the production on Sunday finished off by Katy giving the poinsettias that decorated the stage to people working behind the scenes such Lori Lawrence (costumes), Ken Pawlachuk (stage), Buzz and Sara Trevor (makeup), Heather Johnsgaard (programs) as well as to Mark and Crystal Kolt (hours and hours of practice sessions). The concert was a great success. Congratulations to all who participated!
