Police are reminding the public to drive with added caution following recent collisions related to icy roads.
For the seven-day period that ended mid last week, two such collisions were reported to RCMP in the Flin Flon-Cranberry Portage area (excluding Saskatchewan).
“It should be noted that this is only what is reported to police,” said RCMP spokesperson Tara Seel. “MPI may have more collisions if there were only property damage reports.”
Seel says tips for safe winter driving include driving at reduced speeds, avoiding the use of cruise control, increasing distance between vehicles and using proper tires.
