Flin Flon’s Habitat 53° chapter of Habitat for Humanity is calling this past weekend’s Coffee House fundraiser a success.
The event, held Saturday, Oct. 3 at the Creighton Community Hall, raised just over $2,500 to help Habitat complete its first home for a low-income family.
More than 100 people were in attendance along with the evening’s entertainers and volunteers.
Habitat’s first home, on Steventon Blvd., has been completed but requires finishing touches and landscaping before being sold.
The organization also had a successful summer at its ReStore, which sells housing supplies and wares, raising just over $22,000 from April to September.
Over the four summers it has been open, the ReStore has brought in just over $54,000.
