Sarah Stevens got a face full of whipped cream courtesy of Ava Kerfont last Friday at a Relay for Life fundraiser held in the Co-op parking lot. The Co-op Crusaders, one of 16 teams participating in the upcoming relay, raised $814 from hot dog sales, a pie throw and a dunk tank. The Co-op agreed to match those funds. Volunteer Jill Wahl noted that the team raised an additional $136 to persuade a reluctant individual to go in the dunk tank. The Co-op Crusaders will run their final fundraiser, a lunchtime bake sale, on Friday, August 28 at the Co-op. The Relay for Life will take place on Saturday, September 12 at the Creighton ball diamond.
