The Rotary Club has asked the City of Flin Flon for a grant of about $75,000 to help build a new seniors housing complex. That would be equivalent to five years of property taxes on the proposed 16-suite facility, which would be located at Rotary Court. City council reviewed the written request at their regular meeting Tuesday evening, referring the letter to the Finance Committee for further review. The Rotarians must have at least $300,000 lined up within several weeks if the building is to come to fruition. Having already set aside a substantial portion of that financial goal, the club recently wrote to businesses, organizations and individuals asking them to consider a donation. Anyone interested in supporting this project may phone 687-6488 or 687-5277 for more information.
