Services around the area will have a reduction of hours as we enter the holiday season.
The Flin Flon School Division had its final day of classes Dec. 20. Students from École McIsaac School, Ruth Betts Community School, Hapnot Collegiate and Many Faces Education Centre will return for regular classes Jan. 6. Creighton Community School will follow the same schedule.
Flin Flon’s City Hall will be closed Dec. 25, Dec. 26 and Jan. 1, returning to regular hours on Jan. 2. The building will also close at noon Dec. 24 and 31.
The Whitney Forum will mirror City Hall hours, but no events are planned after the Flin Flon Bombers’ final home game before the holiday break Dec. 21.
The Town of Creighton will close their offices on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. On Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, they will close at 2 p.m. All other times are normal.
Waste disposal is closed on all holidays. The Creighton Recreation, Culture and Tourism Office will be closed from Dec. 23 - Jan. 3.
The Northern Village of Denare Beach office will be closed Dec. 25, Dec. 26 and Jan. 1. They will also be closing at noon Dec. 24 and 31.
The list of which businesses will be open through the holidays is short. The Flin Flon Petro-Canada will be open Christmas Day from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. The Super K Convenience Store on Main Street will be open from noon - 5 p.m. Christmas Day.
