The City of Flin Flon will address concerns that motorists are speeding through the Trailer Court and endangering children. The Traffic Commission has decided to erect "children playing" signs in the neighbourhood and has requested that the RCMP make the area part of their patrols. Rick Bacon, assistant director of works and operations, said the City has yet to finalize a date as to when the signs will go up. He said there will likely be two signs. Earlier this year, City Council heard from a resident who was worried about the safety of neighbourhood children, some of whom, he said, play on the streets. That resident, who did not want his name published, said he was pleased to see the City take action on this matter.
