Not that the Flin Flon Community Choir isn't fun, however for some people the 'high brow, long haired' classical musical isn't everyone's cup of tea. This season the choir is doing two fun and familiar concerts. The first one being the Christmas concert which is under the production management of Katy Anderson. The concert is being called "T'Was in the Moon of Wintertime". The show will be on December 4 and 5 at the R.H. Channing Auditorium. It will be in two segments, with the first half being the Nativity Scene and the second half being a beautiful "hustle and bustle winter wonderland," according to Crystal Kolt. Then, in the spring, the production manager is Lori Suss. The concert is in the gestational stage and is yet to be named. The show will be April 30 and May 1, 2005 at the R.H. Channing Auditorium. However, the music will be movie songs dating from "Singing in the Rain" to "Moon River", to "Three Coins in the Fountain to Unchained Melody". There will be a James Bond medley, as well as some Disney and Grease songs. So, if you like to sing and would like to have some fun with some great people, by all means come out and join our 'family'. It is not too late to register and we practice every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at McIaasc School. There are no auditions! "The music will be easy to learn because the melodies are already familiar," said Lori. For more information call Crystal at 687-5413!9/17/2004
