As Christmas draws near and more people are looking for work in our area, those of us who are lucky enough to have a steady income, need to think about those less fortunate than ourselves. Ida Kozar is once again co-ordinating the Children's Gift Program. "The program is aimed at enabling parents to give their children a gift at Christmas when circumstances may otherwise prevent them from doing so," she said. This will be the 10th consecutive year that this program has been running. Due to the generosity of the people and businesses in Flin Flon and area, this program is able to continue. Ida has once again booked a room at the Lord's Bounty Food Bank, 86 Hapnot Street, where parents can confidentially go and choose one gift per child. The wrapping paper, tape and ribbons are also available so the parents can wrap the gift and put it under their Christmas tree. The gifts are provided only for those who make appointments and for as long as the gifts last. The dates for this year are: Thursday and Friday - December 18 and 19, and Thursday and Friday - December 22 and 23. You may call Ida Kozar at 687-1705. Any business or individual can donate to the Children's Gift Program for kids ages birth to 17 years, or wrapping supplies, by leaving your donation or gift at 102-143 Main Street, Family Services, Provincial Building or by calling Ida Kozar 687-1705. No gift is too small. Ida thanks you in advance for your kindness and generosity.
