A summary of calls to the Flin Flon RCMP for the week of Oct. 20-26:
Monday, Oct. 20
• Report of unwanted guests at Bellevue Street residence; police attended and unwanted persons removed.
• 911 call received from Flin Flon General Hospital; determined to be a technical issue.
Tuesday, Oct. 21
• Report of young children playing near the Perimeter Highway; police attended and children could not be located.
• Police dispatched to residence on Callinan Street for a female requesting police enter her former residence to retrieve her mail; police have no authority to enter a premises to comply with such requests.
• Report of break and enter at the former armoury; matter still under investigation.
• Police attended to residence on Hill Street due to the sound of breaking glass; it was determined that an argument had broken out in the residence; no injuries reported.
Wednesday, Oct. 22
• 911 call from Main Street business; police attended and call determined to be false.
• Report of child luring over the Internet; matter still under investigation.
• Police called to Flin Flon General Hospital for report of intoxicated male; he was located and lodged until sober.
• Police called to Main Street for report of an intoxicated male; he was located and lodged until sober.
• Police called to Main Street for report of a passed out intoxicated male; he was located and lodged until sober.
• Report of a missing child; child located a short time later.
• Report of an intoxicated male knocking on residence on Ross Street; he was located and lodged until sober.
• Complaint of threats over laptop computer that was believed to have been taken.
Thursday, Oct. 23
• Report of missing youth on North Avenue; youth returned home a short while later.
• Report of an intoxicated male at Flin Flon General Hospital; he was located and lodged until sober.
• Alarm from residence on Milton Street; it was found to be accidently set off by home owner.
• Report of damage to vehicle on Highway 10A.
• Report of intoxicated male walking on Main Street; he was located and lodged until sober.
• Report of intoxicated male on North Avenue; police attended but he could not be located.
• Report of children playing on the bridge near Bellevue Avenue; police attended but the children had left.
Friday, Oct. 24
• Break-and-enter reported at local school; matter under investigation.
• Report of vehicle being rummaged through on Creekside Drive.
• Report of a break-and-enter to a garage on Queen Street; matter under investigation.
• Alarm received from a garage on Green Street; alarm had been accidentally set off by a dog.
• Report of an intoxicated male who had been drinking mouthwash on Main Street; he was located and lodged until sober.
• Two complaints for loud music coming from residence on Main Street; police attended and spoke with homeowner.
Saturday, Oct. 25
• Police responded to an assault at a local bar; matter still under
investigation.
• Report of an intoxicated male at Flin Flon General Hospital; he was located and lodged until sober.
• Noise complaint on Whitney Street due to off-road vehicle traffic; suspect spoken to.
• Report of theft of prescription pills; appears to be an ongoing problem.
• Police observed a male breaking a window on Main Street; investigation revealed the intoxicated male had forgotten his keys and was attempting to gain entry into his own residence.
• Report of an intoxicated male lying in the middle of Hapnot Street; complainant had to drag the male from the roadway; police attended and the male was lodged until sober.
• Police attended to disturbance on Hapnot Street; charges will be laid in the matter.
• Police attended Flin Flon General Hospital for a report of an intoxicated patient who was refusing to co-operate with hospital staff; police checks revealed the male had multiple warrants of arrest; he was arrested and remanded in custody.
• Report of an intoxicated female causing a disturbance at a residence on Bellevue Avenue; she was located and lodged until sober.
Sunday, Oct. 26
• Report of a possible assault; matter still under investigation.
• Report of alarm at local school; police attended and the school was secure.
• Police responded to an assault with weapon call in Channing in which the suspect had struck the victim with a piece of wood; suspect was located and arrested.
• Report of a suspicious vehicle on Green Street; patrols for the vehicle were negative.
Report of an intoxicated male who was “refusing to go to sleep” on Terrace Avenue; he was located in a shed and lodged until sober.
