The Flin Flon and District Chamber of Commerce is ending 2004 on healthy financial footing. At Tuesday's executive meeting at the Friendship Centre, past-president Dave Kendall presented the organization's financial statement for the fiscal year ended Sept. 30, 2004. The statement showed a total surplus of $41,200, including $3,560 in restricted money, which is left over from the chamber's bingo fundraisers and must be allotted to community projects. A total of $15,000 is earmarked for the proposed peace park or a similar project. Revenue for the fiscal year totaled $47,560, while operating expenses were $34,311. The largest single source of revenue were the Flin Flon coins that the chamber sold, taking in a profit of $16,293. (The coins can still be purchased at the chamber office and make good stocking stuffers).12/16/2004
