The approaching holiday season and a recently rescheduled annual general meeting have forced the Flin Flon and District Chamber of Commerce to shuffle the dates of some events.
The business association will hold their annual general meeting on Dec. 18 this year. While the meeting was scheduled to be held in November, the chamber chose instead to hold the meeting shortly before the holiday season.
To help accommodate the decision, the chamber has chosen to cancel their scheduled meetings on Nov. 27 and Dec. 11.
The group, which typically holds meetings on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month, will not be holding its second scheduled meeting in December as it would fall on Christmas Day.
Each of the new dates were originally suggested by current chamber president Karen MacKinnon.
Several chamber executive positions will be open for nominations and voting at the annual general meeting.
In recent years, the chamber has held its biggest annual meeting in the fall. The meeting was held on Halloween last year.
