Aside from an overview of the Communityplex project, the Flin Flon and District Chamber of Commerce had some business to take care of at their meeting yesterday. Highlights from the meeting, held at the Friendship Centre Restaurant and attended by 18 people, include: A motion carried to support in writing the Rocky Lake North Shore Cottagers Association's campaign for improved cellular phone service in this region. The association has written to a number of municipalities and chambers of commerce asking for support. A motion carried to donate stickers featuring Flintabbatey Flonatin to the Flin Flon Fish Enhancement Society. The stickers will be used as prizes at the group's upcoming children's fishing challenge at Manmade Lake near the Rotary Wheel. A motion carried to provide the chamber's Flinty costume for use at the upcoming Queen Mermaid Pageant Community Night. Due to the nature of the event, the rental fee will be waived.
