The Flin Flon and District Chamber of Commerce followed a light agenda at its executive meeting yesterday at the Friendship Centre Restaurant. Phill Robinson, one of the organization's directors, presided over the meeting in President Doug O'Brien's absence. With eight people on hand, including two reporters, the meeting lacked a quorum, so the decisions made will have to be approved at the next meeting. Here is a recap: Maureen Kozar brought forth a request from the committee behind Main Street Days that the Chamber sponsor a bannock breakfast in conjunction with the event on July 2. A motion carried to do so. Members agreed to conduct the Chamber's annual clean-up of the Flin Flon Municipal Campground and Rotary Wheel area. They will be out with their work gloves and garbage bags tonight. Secretary Rhonda Chaisson noted that the Chamber has received confirmation regarding the Manitoba Chamber of Commerce's 2005 Annual General Meeting, which Flin Flon will host. The event will run from April 22-24 next year. It was noted that the Chamber's framed cross-stitch depicting two loons will be raffled off June 6 at Bakers Narrows Day.5/26/2004
