Wednesday, July 7, 2004 was the day the family of Lew and Billie Parres celebrated the couple's 65th wedding anniversary. The occasion was celebrated in the auditorium of the Northminster United Church. The delicious luncheon was prepared by the Presbyterian and United Church ladies groups. The cake was beautifully decorated in mauve and white by granddaughter Kristine. Entertainment was provided by the family with video pictures of the couple's life and then son Jim, along with his wife Audrey, sang 'Little Things' which was prepared for the couple's 50th anniversary and just keeps getting recycled as the years go by. Congratulations once again to a special couple.
