A "significant amount" of cash was stolen from a Hapnot Street home over the weekend in an audacious afternoon robbery, Flin Flon RCMP reported. Police would not divulge how much money was removed, as their investigation is ongoing. "We are currently looking at a couple of individuals, but there are no solid suspects yet," said Cst. Monty Henstridge. The theft occurred sometime between 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, during which time the home's occupant mistakenly left the door unlocked, police said. No one was home at the time. Police retrieved an undisclosed item from the house and will soon have it dusted for fingerprints. "Hopefully, that will turn something up," commented Cst. Henstridge. Police said nothing other than the money was stolen, and there was no damage. Police encourage anyone with information on this crime to contact them at 687-3491 or Manitoba Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
