A fitting location has been chosen for Flin Flon's 80th anniversary time capsule. The capsule, a concrete manhole pipe to be filled with items, will be placed above-ground at the Flin Flon Station Museum property. A dedication ceremony will take place Sunday, Aug. 18 at 2:30 p.m. during the Flinty's Birthday celebration. A reminder that the deadline to fill out an application for items to be potentially included in the capsule is Aug. 9. Items should represent Flin Flon specifically in 2013. The capsule is due to be opened in 20 years when Flin Flon marks its centennial. Anyone with questions on the capsule may contact Colleen Arnold of the organizing committee at 204-681-3105.
