A group of volunteers is $2,250 closer to their goal of a supportive housing facility for people with alzheimer's disease and related dementia. Ten canvassers with the Mitkas-Hunter Hope Foundation collected pledges in Flin Flon, Creighton and Denare Beach from Nov. 5-21. Helen Hunter, founder of the charity, said most people were aware of the project through coverage in the local media, and many were generous with their money. The proposed housing facility would be built beside the Heritage Manor in Creighton. Among the canvassers were (pictured left to right) Brian Gold, Trina Senyk, Judy Hanson (in front), Marg Sparrow, Helen Hunter and Mark Ramshaw.
