A condensed summary of calls to the Flin Flon RCMP for the period of Dec. 15-20.

Monday, Dec. 15

• Report of a break-and-enter to city shed on Green Street.  The matter is still under investigation.

• Report of youth causing damage to a vehicle during school hours at Ruth Betts Community School. Youth was issued a formal caution as guided by the Young Criminal Justice Act.

• Report of damage to vehicle parked behind a Main Street business.

Tuesday, Dec. 16

• Report of an intoxicated male kicking a door on Hill Street after being asked to leave a residence. The male left before police arrived.

• Report of damage to a vehicle at a car lot. No suspects have been identified.

• Report of an unknown person walking in the middle of the road near South Hudson Street. Police attended but the person was gone before they arrived.

Wednesday, Dec. 17

• Police responded to a residence on Tweedsmuir Street where a man with a knife was threatening to harm himself.

• RCMP investigation of theft from a local business revealed that an employee had stolen computer electronics. Charges will be laid in the matter.

Thursday, Dec 18

• Report received of an intoxicated male passed out in the snowbank at the bottom of the 100 stairs. The local man was lodged until sober.

• Report received of male attempting to gain entry into vehicles on Boam Street. Police attended but the man could not be located.

• Report of a male banging on the door of a residence on Boam Street with a hockey stick. The matter is under investigation.

• Police attended an ice shack on Big Island Lake after an assault complaint. Investigation revealed that two local males had been fishing all day and apparently drinking all day as well. They got into a verbal argument which then turned into a fight. Both males were removed from the ice shack. One man required minor treatment at the Flin Flon General Hospital.

Friday, Dec 19

• Police responded to a domestic disturbance on Callinan Street.  An intoxicated male was arrested and charged for assault causing bodily harm and forcible confinement. He was remanded in custody.

• Police responded to a complaint of assault on Callinan Street. Investigation revealed the couple was play fighting. No injuries were observed and no disclosure of assault was made by either party.

• Report received a report of a possible fraud. A local male entered into a partnership with a male from Alberta regarding distribution of a product. After providing a large sum of money, no further correspondence had been received. The matter is under investigation.

• Report received from the Manitoba Liquor Control Commission of the theft of a 40 oz bottle of vodka. Video surveillance captured the theft and a male suspect has been identified.

Saturday, Dec. 20

• Police responded to a complaint of domestic assault in progress at a residence on Church Street. A man was arrested on scene and will face charges of assault and forcible confinement.

• Report of an intoxicated female walking down Green Street with two males following her. Police attended the area and patrols were made but they did not find anyone matching the description.

• A youth reported missing from a residence on Second Avenue returned home shortly after the complaint was made.

• Police responded to numerous reports of mischief to vehicles in the Channing Drive area. Police have identified a suspect.

• A sum of cash was stolen in a vehicle break-in reported to police.

• Police responded to a disturbance at an apartment complex on Hapnot Street. The male caller first reported that a female had stolen his coffee can containing cigarette butts. He then changed the complaint to say that the female was blaring her music too loud and he could not hear his television. The male caller then informed police that the female was talking to other tenants and blaming the male for taking her coffee can of cigarette butts.

• Complaint received of persons drinking in an apartment on Hapnot Street while property rep was not present. Police attended and two females and two males were observed consuming alcohol. One male was observed to be intoxicated and known to be on conditions imposed by the courts. The male was arrested and handcuffed. Prior to being removed from the residence, the male urinated on the rug in the living room. The male was remanded in custody.

• Police responded to a report of domestic assault on East Street. A male suspect could not be located but turned himself in the following day. The man faces an assault charge.

• Report received of criminal harassment on Hapnot Street. Complainant reports being videotaped, photographed and having unwanted contact via social media. The matter is under investigation.
