Kelly Carrington Staff Writer The Christmas Spirit is upon us! It's that time of year again. Why not show your enthusiasm by breaking out your favourite Christmas sweater?! The Reminder and CFAR 590 declare Dec. 18 as Christmas Sweater Day in Flin Flon! This is NOT to be confused with Ugly Sweater Day from previous years, as there are NO ugly Christmas sweaters. They are all beautiful treasures _ some just come a little more special than others. So grab your favourite one and wear it to work; wear it to drop off Christmas parcels; wear it to do some grocery shopping; be sure to wear it to drop your children off to school _ they'll love it! Most importantly, remember to wear your Christmas sweater on Tuesday, Dec. 18 to have a little fun this holiday season. You don't own a Christmas sweater? That's okay, there are plenty of options. If you can't borrow one or even find one on the Flin Flon Traders Post Facebook page, you can always make your own. Add some lights and garland to a red, green, white, gold, black or even multicoloured sweater and VIOLA! You're in the Christmas spirit! The Reminder and CFAR 590 want to make sure you are wearing your favourite Christmas sweater this year, so we'll be on patrol! To make sure we find you and your coworkers or friends, send us an e-mail at [email protected] or [email protected] For those who are camera-savvy all on their own, take your own picture and e-mail it to us. CFAR and Reminder reps will be making their way around the Flin Flon and Creighton area on Dec. 18 starting at 1:30 p.m. Be sure to have your location submitted the night before _ if not first thing in the morning _ to make sure you're on our list. The Reminder will publish pictures from Christmas Sweater Day on Dec. 21 paper. Be sure to have your submitted pictures sent to [email protected] by Dec. 19. CFAR will publish pictures at Flinflononline.com as well. Both The Reminder and CFAR will add pictures of everyone to their Facebook pages _ be sure to 'like' yours!
