Jonathon Naylor Editor Mounties have arrested a male youth in connection with a rash of break-ins over the weekend. This past Saturday, Jan. 5, Flin Flon RCMP received a report of a break and enter to a garage on Hudson Street. An investigation determined that numerous other break-ins had occurred at garages and businesses in both Flin Flon and Creighton. Creighton RCMP also received reports of break-ins. The male youth was arrested and held in custody in relation to the break and enters. As of Monday, numerous charges were pending by Mounties in Flin Flon and Creighton as the investigation continued. As The Reminder previously reported, Flin Flon had a higher per-capita break-in rate in 2011 (1,253 per 100,000 people) than both The Pas (1,164) and Thompson (568). The 2012 figures are to be released by Statistics Canada this summer.
