It may be a zany comedy, but producers whose films went up against "Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story" over the weekend aren't laughing. Ben Stiller's latest effort, which also stars Vince Vaughn and Rip Torn, debuted in top spot at the U.S. box office, grossing an estimated $30 million. Oscar buzz surrounds the second place finisher, "The Terminal," directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Tom Hanks. It debuted with $18.7 million but could gain traction thanks to strong reviews. "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" continued its successful run, coming in third with $17.4 million. The third installment of the Potter series has now taken in nearly $200 million. Already one of the most successful films of all time, "Shrek 2," featuring the voices of Mike Myers and Eddie Murphy, grossed another $13.6 million. Its total gross now stands at $378 million. Occupying fifth spot was "Garfield: The Movie," with the comic-strip-turned-feature-film taking in $11 million in its second week in theatres. Rounding out the top ten were: "The Stepford Wives" ($9.2 million); "The Chronicles of Riddick" ($8.3 million); "The Day After Tomorrow" ($7.55 million); "Around the World in 80 Days" ($6.83 million); and "Troy" ($1.71 million).
