One of the most anticipated blockbusters of 2004 got off to a great start over the weekend, as the epic "Troy" finished first at the box office. The adaptation of Homer's tale of the siege of Troy by the united Greek forces, starring Brad Pitt and Eric Bana, grossed an estimated $45.6 million. The film stole top spot from "Van Helsing," with the Hugh Jackman monster thriller taking in $20.1 million. The surprise hit of the spring continues to be "Mean Girls." The teen comedy about a young woman entering public school for the first time raised another $10.1 million, good for third spot. Jamie Foxx's latest effort, the romantic comedy "Breakin' All the Rules," debuted in fourth place with $5.3 million. Fifth spot with $5.25 million went to "Man on Fire" starring Denzel Washington as a former Marine who swears vengeance on those who wronged the family he was hired to protect. A pair of lightweight comedies Ñ "13 Going On 30" and "New York Minute" Ñ came in fifth and sixth place with grosses of $4.2 million and $3.75 million respectively. Rounding out the top ten were "Laws of Attraction" ($2.08 million); "Kill Bill: Vol. 2" ($1.63 million); and "Godsend" ($1 million."
