Frightmaster M. Night Shymalan scored another hit over the weekend when his latest horror flick, "The Village", debuted in top spot at the U.S. box office. The tale of a town under attack from mysterious creatures grossed an estimated $50.8 million, knocking last weekend's top film, "The Bourne Supremacy", to second place with $23.4 million. Denzel Washington's latest effort, "The Manchurian Candidate" debuted in a disappointing third place with $20.2 million. Will Smith continued to draw crowds with "I, Robot", which took in another $10.1 million in its third weekend in theatres. "Spider-Man 2" rounded out the top five with $8.5 million, bringing the web-slinging sequel's total take to an astounding $344 million. Rounding out the top ten were: "Catwoman" ($6.08 million); "Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle" ($5.15 million); "A Cinderella Story" ($4.69 million); "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy" ($3.1 million); and "Fahrenheit 9/11" ($3.1 million).
