On a day when one pizza chain opened in the local area, another denied having plans to follow suit. A spokesperson for Boston Pizza said yesterday that rumours of the popular chain planning to open at the Flintoba Shopping Centre are incorrect. "Although we're always looking for opportunities, Flin Flon has not been a market that we've been investigating," said Al Cave, vice-president of business development, from his office in Richmond, B.C. "Flin Flon is probably not a market that we are ready to go to yet." Cave mentioned that the pizza giant is looking at Thompson as a possible destination, but nothing has been finalized. Boston Pizza, along with other popular chains, have been rumoured as potential new tenants at the Flintoba Shopping Centre since site development began last year. Yesterday's announcement from the chain came on the same day that Hot Stuff Pizza opened at the former Esso station in Creighton along with Mean Gene's Burgers.
