Bombers drop Game 1 against Red Wings

The Flin Flon Bombers dropped the first game of their quarter-final series with the Weyburn Red Wings on Friday, losing 4-1.

Pierre-Luc Morin (Nick Shumlanski, Brandon Lesko) scored the lone goal for the Bombers at the 10:44 mark of the second period. By then Weyburn had scored four unanswered goals.

Goaltender Zac Robidoux started for Flin Flon but was pulled in favour of Brenden Newton after surrendering three goals on 16 shots.

Tyran Brown scored twice for Weyburn. Cole Woodliffe and Ian Parker also potted goals in a winning effort. Jack Burgart, the SJHL's top goaltender during the regular season, was strong in the Red Wings net.
