MTS Internet subscribers may have been hitting the "Send" button in vain over the weekend. The company's e-mail server has reportedly been blacklisted by a popular online "spam" and virus watchdog. That would mean that sent e-mails ending in "@mts.net" would be junked by an unknown number of e-mail servers worldwide before reaching their destinations. MTS spokesperson Sharon Jones told The Winnipeg Sun that the company was uninformed of the problem until the newspaper brought it to her attention. The company was working to remove its name from the blacklist, she told the newspaper. The MTS name somehow ended up a blacklist with e-mail servers suspected of carrying computer viruses and spam, the term for junk e-mail and unwanted advertisements.
